I thought you told me this was a camel?

'I thought you told me this was a camel?" is a fully devised collaboration between Hope Kennedy, Cade Tough, Madelief Lammers and Marcus. Working with the themes of endings, beginnings, repetition, questions and meaningless conversation - this performance contains live music, choreography and original text.
"Madelief: So, tell me; what’s this all about? My coat is too warm. My skin is too cold.
Hope: I don’t know whether I’m allowed to hug you.
Madelief: I never wanted things to end.
Hope: Do you still think about me?
Madelief: This is sad, isn’t it?
Hope: The cake I bought you for your birthday has been eaten by seagulls. Did you even enjoy it?
Madelief: Ah well. There’s always cakes and seagulls. Camels. Questions. Solid grounds to put our feet on. Marcus will be there, and Cade.
Hope: Groan groan groan groan groan groan groan. The chorus of angels got sticky and melted into the floor.
Madelief: Do I need anything? How am I feeling? How am I?
Hope: An unsure hugger.
Madelief: A freshly baked cake.
Hope: A pile of clothes.
Madelief: A camel, drawn by four people. I’m right behind you, thirstier than ever. Crying but strong. Fur coat. Soft tongue.
Hope: Even camels don’t mate for life. I hate crying in public. And no, I don’t eat chocolate. I hate the bitter flavour."
